About Me

My photo
I started my weight loss journey at 19 years old weighing 274 pounds, wearing a Size 22-24. I lost 115 pounds over two years, and was wearing a size 8! I got married, let my determination fall and I slowly gained 50 pounds of that back. Then I got pregnant and added another 55 pounds onto what I had lost. I am down 35 pounds so far and 70 pounds away from my goal. Join me on this life long journey!

Another food review

Good evening all,

I wanted to do a quick post about something new that I tried today. Have you heard about the Lay's potato chip contest?

I found them in small bags today so I picked them up to try - my thought was that I would open all three, try a few and then send them to work with my husband.

I opened them up and tried them in order from left to right - Loaded Perogies, Grilled Cheese and Ketchup and Maple Moose (I think). I tried a few of each, my husband tried a few of each, and so did my dad, who happened to be over at the time.

I was not really impressed with any of them. They were all just 'meh'. I would not be buying them again that's for sure. The flavours were really weak and didn't really taste like what they said they were. The grilled cheese ones did a little bit but I thought the maple syrup ones tasted more like gravy.

I think I'll be sticking to my ketchup chips please and thank you.

On a side note - I am down 3.4 pounds this week!!! Gotta love being focused and on track!

  1. We have tried all except the grilled cheese - haven't been able to find them. There is another one you missed - caesar salad. I wasn't impressed either. Perogie platter just tastes like bacon, caesar saalad tates more like sour cream and onion with a hint of garlic, and maple moose tastes like sweet BBQ- no moose flavour at all!

  2. Hey Tracey - I didn't think that the ceaser one sounded appealing so we opted not to get them. These were just individual size ones but they did also have the large bags too.
