I don't do it as often as I should being a new mom and all the excuses come too easily. But I know that when you put the time and effort into yourself but grooming and dressing nicely it makes a world of a difference how you feel about yourself. I'm not saying that you need to buy designer clothes and always have your hair done, but a little self loving goes a long way, at least for me it does!
I had good intentions yesterday of waking up early and going to the gym before a long day with lots of food challenges. But I didn't get a restful sleep the night before so staying in bed was too much of a temptation and it won. I did however map out my meals for the day and tracked it all before I ate it.
We went to a birthday party for a friend and I opted not to have a bun with my burger or a cupcake in order to save points for home made pizza we had with friends. Over all it was a good day and I am happy with my self control and the food choices I made.
Today we are going to Kitchener to celebrate Sean's parent's anniversary and his Opa's birthday. I like going to Kitchener because we get to see Sean's older brother and sister in law. We don't get to see them as often as we would like to.
Yesterday afternoon I had to do something that was much harder than I ever thought it would be. I packed away some clothes that are too small for my baby girl now. I went through her drawers and pulled out stuff that was too small and went through new clothes that now will fit her. It is hard to believe that just a few short months ago she was only 8 pounds - now she is growing so fast and I know time will fly by!!!
Tomorrow Sean is off work so I am going to spend the day doing "me" things while he watches Rylee - I just don't know what I want to do yet haha!
Until next time...
