About Me

My photo
I started my weight loss journey at 19 years old weighing 274 pounds, wearing a Size 22-24. I lost 115 pounds over two years, and was wearing a size 8! I got married, let my determination fall and I slowly gained 50 pounds of that back. Then I got pregnant and added another 55 pounds onto what I had lost. I am down 35 pounds so far and 70 pounds away from my goal. Join me on this life long journey!

A cut above the rest

As noted on my last post we have been doing some research into food and chemicals/hormones ect.

Perfectly timed, last week someone knocked on our door to ask us if we wanted a sample of ground beef. The next night they came back and we liked what we heard. We wanted to do some more research on the company first and talk to my parents as well as I felt it was something they would like as well.

Once we sat down with my parents and went over all of the information again we decided that we were going to order. What they do is you order a whole YEARS worth of meat, veggies, fruit ect and they deliver it all at once. Then you can pay for it how ever you want. All at once, monthly, bi-weekly and weekly. The plan that we are on will allow us to have the meat for 4 nights a week (which is more than we eat meat now). I am excited for this and nervous all at once because it will be important to balance the meat out so that we don't run out before our year is up and to make the rest of the items we eat fit into a lesser budget because we will have to pay for the meat. We decided to give it a try for a year and see how it goes. Of course, I will keep you updated with the progress. I am excited about the quality of the meat and feel good feeding that to Rylee, and of course us.

Tomorrow is my husbands 27th birthday -- I just realized it's his golden birthday! Tonight we are having my family over for dessert and I am making his favourite meal...nachos...for dinner.

Short post today! Until next time!
