This week has been a very difficult week for myself, my husband, and his family. We were all set for his family Christmas in Kitchener when we showed up at my husbands parents farm minutes after his mom had found his dad passed away.
It was very sudden and unexpected but we are thankful he passed peacefully in his sleep and did not suffer. The autopsy confirmed it was a heart attack.
Moments like these often change our lives. They are monumental and have a very large impact on the person you become in the future. They give you new in sites on what is important to you. My husband and I feel more than ever now the importance of our healthy and our journey to get fit.
The next two days will be the hardest of our lives thus far so we are taking today to be together as a family and take some time to rest before what lies ahead.
Dave was taken from us far too young - before he could enjoy his retirement, Rylee's first Christmas, or the birth of my niece or nephew (his next grandchild) sometime in May. We trust that God has a plan and have already been seeing how Gos has worked and is still working through this very difficult time.
